Built Form International Conference (BFIC)

From its inception, Built Form Lab has aimed to create a global platform for advanced discussion and exchange on the built environment, bridging the gap between research and practice. In line with this mission, Built Form Lab has initiated a new series of international conferences designed to foster dialogue among scholars, designers, and professionals engaged with the spatial, social, and material dimensions of the built form.

The Built Form International Conferences are organized annually, in online or hybrid formats, to ensure wide accessibility and international participation. Each edition focuses on emerging themes that shape contemporary spatial thinking and practice—encouraging cross-disciplinary perspectives and critical engagement with current urban and architectural challenges.

Through these conferences, Built Form Lab seeks to build a growing network of researchers and practitioners committed to rethinking the built form in its many contexts and scales.
