Built Form Lab (BFL) is an independent, collaborative and online-based network to research and practice dedicated to exploring the built environment, society, ecology, and their interrelationships. All researchers in BFL come from diverse backgrounds with a common goal: shaping the cities of the future through evidence-based approaches: research, policy, planning and design
BFL’s mission is to bridge the research and real-world practice, generating innovative approaches that inform planning, design, architecture and policy-making. We work with universities, local authorities, governments, institutions, communities, and practitioners to address urban and architectural challenges. BFL integrates diverse perspectives to generate transformative knowledge, practices, and collaborations via evidence-based inquiry. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and co-creation, BFL produce knowledge and practice to envision and foster healthier, more just, and regenerative urban futures for generations to come.
