Built Form Lab (BFL) is an independent collaborative network to research and practice dedicated to exploring the built environment, society, ecology, and their interrelationships. All researchers in BFL come from diverse backgrounds with a common goal: shaping the cities of the future through evidence-based approaches-research, policy, planning and design
BFL’s mission is to bridge the research and real-world practice, generating innovative approaches that inform planning, design, architecture and policy-making. We work with universities, local authorities, governments, institutions, communities, and practitioners to address urban and architectural challenges. BFL integrates diverse perspectives to generate transformative knowledge, practices, and collaborations via evidence-based inquiry. Through interdisciplinary collaboration and co-creation, BFL produce knowledge and practice to envision and foster healthier, more just, and regenerative urban futures for generations to come.
